The walrus and the Arctic tern
A walrus and an Arctic tern on the shore of Andréeneset, Svalbard. Andréeneset is headland at the southwestern point of Kvitøya Island in the Svalbard archipelago. It is named after Arctic explorer Salomon August Andrée. It is renowned for being home to one of the largest walrus colonies in Svalbard. A wide variety of birds can also be seen there, such as long-tailed ducks, white gulls and Arctic terns.
