Situated in the midst of the Serengeti's open plains near the south gate there are several small boulders. These provide an expansive view out over the open grassland and are the home domain to a pride of lions. These lionesses were enjoying the afternoon sun while keeping a close eye on a nearby column of wildebeest and zebra that was slowly approaching.
