The Way Home
It was on a late morning walk that I was stopped dead in my tracks. Here, hiking in the heart of Shenandoah I suddenly noticed the light change. All around me yellow foliage blazed with he warmth of the sun. Turning around, the trail seemed to stretch into infinity. The air felt electrified and each step forward was a step deeper into the wild’s embrace — yellow light dancing with the shadows. But as the trail wended on, the light shifted in a delicate gradient from the vibrant warmth of life to the serene blue of the unknown. My capture shows the way home, a familiar yet undiscovered country.
