This is a photo of the western Sierra Madre taken while driving along the Autopista Durango-Mazatlan in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. By this point the desert scenery of the northern states of Mexico have been left behind and the transition to a tropical backdrop is slowly occurring as everything is much more green and lush.
