The Wide World of Mangroves

Mangroves in India are important biomes that besides harbouring a plethora of unique species, also protect the neighbouring land from the vagaries of storms and flood. Working close to coastal ecosystems for over a decade, I wanted to portray the importance of these biomes through an emotive picture. The image was framed keeping the whole mangrove habitat in frame to showcase the species in its biome and also the interactions that the locals have with these species.
