21st Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
The Yellow lab and the giant Fir tree.
In the Santa Cruz mountains you will find many a misty morning. This was one such morning. My dog, Acer, and I take in our new surroundings within this new landscape. While there are many Coastal Redwoods in this area, the tree in frame is a large Douglas Fir.
