theyyam dancer
Theyyam is a centuries old ritual in remote villiages in north Kerala, India which is not generally accessable to the public. the make up takes hours and the colours are from trees and leaves, flowers etc. there are 400 different Theyyams and each has a different make up.. the photo taken midway in the makeup process of the dancers face.. lighting is low and the image is taken in available light
