On a trek in the Simien Mountain range in Ethiopia to raise funds for a charity, en route to the highest peak of Ras Dashen, we saw several thick-billed ravens, a very large (25 Inch) and somewhat awkward-looking bird, that followed our group in hopes of finding some leftovers. We were very careful to leave nothing behind but footprints. This raven is found mainly in the High Ethiopian Plateau.
