Things that make us Human

This is the outside of an artist's house in Calcata, Italy, a mountain town in the Province of Viterbo in the Italian region Lazio built from tufa. The village was condemned until groups of squatting artists moved into the village, opening galleries and cafes. They breathed life back into the area, and the decision to condemn the village was reversed. Everywhere in this village there are feasts like this for the eyes and soul.
