Oftentimes with mental illness, a dissociation from the self and the world around you is felt. A lack of reality, a lack of feeling is embedded in yourself, and all too quickly the weight of the world comes crashing down and you keep riding on this roller coaster for weeks at a time. After a bout of bad depression, I created this photograph. To me, it represents the question of reality, my dissociation from self as well as my relationship between my mental and physical self.
