We were spending a night in McKinleyville California and went to beach before sundown just relax a little. I noticed this woman walking down the beach alone just a short distance away from the water. She had her head down and seemed as if she were in deep thought about something. She stopped at this point at turned to face the water and began watching the sunset. I got the camera set and decided to wait for the sun to get lower in the sky and hoping she would stay awhile. Suddenly she and I notice the birds flying from the left. I snapped a few quick shots as she watched them fly in front of her. When they were out of sight she turned to her right and resumed her slow, thoughtful walk along the beach.
