Polygamy
The Japanese macaque, also known as the snow monkey, is native to Japan. They get their name "snow monkey" because they live in areas where snow covers the ground for months each year. Macaques at Jigokudani Monkey Park are notable for visiting the hot springs in the winter to warm up and sometimes make a group to warm up their body.
