21st Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Drone/Aerial
Tianshan From the Air

I remember this mountain from the story of a legendary monk who crosses it to India pursuing the Buddhist scriptures that spread all the way to Japan. Tianshan in Chinese means "heaven-mountain". I believe it was named for a reason. The reason is what I feel when I took this photo from the window. It does have a majestic feel about the mountain. The cloud, snow and light.
