The photograph shows the penultimate phase in the life cycle of ice, known as the drifting (or "Tissukarpoq" in Kalaallisut), in the form of a giant iceberg in Disko Bay, north-east of Greenland. Each iceberg is uniquely beautiful, such as this one, which towers over our 80ft red sailboat.
