This photo shows Big Run Bog in Tucker County, West Virginia on the Monongahela National Forest. On the left hand side you can see a large beaver dam that is decades old. The bog has such a high concentration of red sphagnum moss and purple pitcher plants that it shows a red hue in parts of the image.
