Torii Gates of Mt. Inari

The large, orange, Torii gates line the trails to many Inari Shrines leading up and around Mt. Inari, in Fushimi-Ku, Kyoto. Inari is the god of rice, but over the years this god has come to be known as the patron of business. The Torii, ranging in cost from ten's of thousands for the smaller ones up to over a million for the larger sized Torri, are purchased by Japanese business as offerings to Inari.
