April of 2024 the United States experienced a total eclipse of the sun. When placed over the previous eclipse in 2017, the track of this eclipse made an 'X' over southern Illinois and we were directly in 'x marks the spot' for this photo. So much excitement filled the news leading up to the event. People came from all over the country to be in this exact spot to view the eclipse. We live in a small town near the Mississippi River and dozens of people lined the levee trying to get the perfect shot of the eclipse. It was an amazing sight to behold. Our town held a festival and we met people from many different states. What a day!
