15th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Total Eclipse while in Folton, Missouri.
I took a road trip from Burlington, Iowa to Fulton, Missouri with my siblings to watch the eclipse at a Wal-Mart parking lot. The photograph shows the totality eclipse involving the Sun and Moon. Solar flares are visible in reddish colors with a white outer ring around the Moon.
