Towards the Small Magellanic Cloud

This is a telescopic view of our neighboring galaxy, the Small Magellanic Cloud, that happens to be in the way of one of the brightest globular star clusters in our Milky Way, known as 47 Tucanae, that orbits around the galactic center. The myriad of distinct background stars in our own Milky Way, gracefully blend with the densely packed star fields in the nearby galaxy.
