Town Center Santa Rosalia Baja California Mexico

As we walked from the dock into the town of Santa Rosalia we came upon the town center. What immediately stuck folks was the large sign with the town's name with each colorful letter a picture depicting it's historical story. Santa Rosalia previously had been a mining town for various minerals, particularly copper, and after the source materials had been largely mined out had now turned to fishing for a source of income. The locomotive was one that had been used to haul minerals from the mines to the bay docks for shipment.
