Toxic foam in the fields
Toxic foam accumulates in an agricultural field foam from irrigation water released from the effluent treatment plant in Jajmau, Kanpur, India. Even after the treatment, this water contains Hexavalent chromium, a highly toxic carcinogen. It acidifies the soil and seeps into the groundwater and finds its way into the Ganges.
