In February of this year, a big earthquake struck Antakya, Turkey. This photo was taken in a camp set up by volunteers in Antakya, where they created a space for children's activities. However, the facilities are extremely rudimentary, mostly consisting of temporary tents, and the sanitary conditions are not good. As I looked through the seams of the tent, I happened to witness this scene. The toys are somewhat harrowing, poignant, and I feel a little bleak when I think of these children playing in such an environment.
