While staying in Belgrade on a tour of the Balkans, I arranged a private tour to help me trace my Donauschwaben roots. My paternsl grandparents had immigrated to the US from Parabutsch. The photo shows the ruins of the St. Martin the Bishop Catholic Church in Karavukovo, where my 5th great grandfather was married.
