Traditional Berikaoba Outfit for Ancient Fertility Ritual in Rural Georgia (Europe)
Berikaoba is an ancient fertility festival native to Georgia in Eastern Europe's Caucasus mountains. Today the festival survives in only a few villages in the country's Kakheti region. Here is a masked figure doning his costume made from sheeps wool and colorful fabrics during the ritual.
