Traditional fishing festival

Hundreds of fishermen can be seen catching fish early in the morning at Ruhul Bill in Bhangura, Pabna. During the dry season, the water in the Haor and Beel dries up. The village people use a special fishing gear made of bamboo and net. It is also regionally known as Baut Utsav. After catching fish, the fishermen take the fish home to eat with the whole family.
