I was driving from Fort Worth to Carmel, CA for a friend's parents. They had me take their car and dog out there for their summer house. About 9 hours into the trip an 18-wheeler (unknown at the time) had wrecked and blocked the road for a little over 2 hours while they cleared it and allowed one lane of traffic to flow, and get people down the road. All while a storm approached and rained with lots of lightening.
