16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest The American Experience
Train leaves light trail as it speeds along the coast.
Between Torrey Pines state beach and a large piece of wetlands, the train passes under a bridge. I caught the sunset near the tracks, then I walked up the hill, crossed the road and went around to the other side of the bridge to catch the next train speeding by.
