Tranquil Lagoon and Waterfall in Tonto Creek

I found this little lagoon when I was hiking Horton Creek outside of Star Valley, AZ. Horton Creek is a desert wash and was completely dry due to the lack of rainfall. Discouraged, I began heading back to my vehicle when I remembered that Horton Creek meets Tonto Creek right before a small one lane bridge where the road forked. I decided to walk a short distance down the left fork to see what I could see. I followed the road and the sound of the adjacent Tonto Creek, it was beautiful. Finally I stumbled across the lagoon off to the right side of the road just a few hundred feet from where I had parked, I made my way down towards it on a short, but steep path. The path went down to the rocky outcrop above the lagoon, crossing over the rocks and the top of the waterfall I found a lightly traveled path leading down to the opposite bank. I climbed down to the bank, picked my spot, set up my tripod and camera, and observed and relaxed for a few minutes before snapping some shots. This was one of my favorite pictures that I have ever taken in my time as an amateur photographer. Thank you and I hope you enjoy!
