While vacationing in Aruba, my girlfriend and I stopped by a recently opened animal sanctuary for rescued animals. We came across this monkey and stopped to take some pictures. The monkey immediately came up to us and sat alongside his cage, looking directly into our cameras. The expressions in his face and eyes were so human like. He continued to gaze into our eyes, as if he was trying to tell us how broken and trapped he feels inside his cage. We proceeded to move, since we were not bound by confinement, looking back to see him staring into the distance dreaming he was out in the wild.
