Tree swallow, Tachycineta bicolor, rests on wooden post near the gate to Wildlife Drive at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, early in the morning before the gates were opened to allow visitors in, with the warm light of sunrise highlighting the bird's iridescent blue-green feathers.
