Tricolored Heron perching in mangrove
Wading birds can be observed hunting and fishing throughout the day at Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge. Here, a tricolored heron with brilliant feather coloration was perched in the mangroves a few feet above the water, carefully watching for fish below.
