Tryfan Sunrise
A beautiful morning high up in the Ogwen Valley. I scrambled up in the pitch black to a spot I have visited a couple of times above llyn Bochlwyd. I waited for several hours in freezing conditions, the sun started to appear behind the towering Tryfan. Pinks and purples lit the valley, one of the most beautiful sunrises I have ever seen. I’m glad I witnessed it and I am pleased to share it with other people. The area is famous for its amazing rock formations. I come here not just for the amazing photo opportunities but to also see the rare Snowdon lily it can be found high on the cliffs, this flower is unique to these isolated parts of Snowdonia and may not survive if global warming continues.
