Tungnaá river
The Tungnaá is a glacial river that flows in the Highlands of Iceland. It originates from the western slope of Vatnajökull Glacier, then flows southwest until it flows into the Þjórsá river, the longest in Iceland and of which it represents the largest tributary. In this picture an aerial view taken in the Northern Fjallabak reserve in the late afternoon, when the landscape is bathed in the golden hour light. Iceland, September 2022.
