I practiced on this self portrait on the day of my sister's birthday who turned the page to another chapter of her life. It reminded me how we who cast our votes, turn the leaf, figuratively speaking, for whom will win the presidential election on November 5, 2024. I found this pretty golden maple leaf on our driveway and I think it was meant for me to pick it up off the road, and use it as a demonstration to experiment with for the theme American Experience.
