TUSU FESTIVAL AT PURULIA

The TUSU festival is a tribal festival in rural Bengal specially celebrated in the districts of Purulia, Bankura and Midnapore of West Bangal, INDIA.The unmarried young girls worship the Tusu Gods with decoration of CHAUDAL (a special wooden structure where God is placed).They celebrate the festival with Tusu songs (Tribal folk song). It ends with the immersion of Chaudal in the nearby river, accompanied by a Musical procession with Dhamsha Madol (tribal musical instruments).
