On the Day the NFL decided to voice it's rejection of the nations flag, I visited the Veterans Memorial atop Mt. Soledad in San Diego. There, a setting sun illuminated a Flag that stands for those who can no longer stand. Tattered and torn, the stress and violence of the wind seemed to mirror the tension across our nation.
