Two Baby Egrets Nesting

This picture shows two newborn egrets in their nest. This nest is on Queen Bess Island northeast of Grand Isle, Louisiana. The restored island is a known nesting area for the Brown Pelican. The island was restored with money from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The story of Queen Bess is an incredible success story for the inhabitants of this critical nesting habit.
