Two female blue jewel damselflies laying eggs in water near a rock
Private! Egg laying on process! A female blue jewel damselfly casts her shadow on a fallen leaf when laying eggs in the water near a rock. Fallen leaves are flushed from upstream but stuck by the rock. It creates a screen-like object with leave patterns. By chance, the female lays her eggs behind the leave and it creates a very private place for her to do her business with privacy!
