Two females overlooking the desert

I spent a week in Chilean desert (Patache) with group of scientists and students. It was my first time in dry lands of a desert, I was amazed with its beauty, often surrealistic; it was hard to believe how quickly desert can change its colors, how different its shapes... And it was so obvious that the beauty of a desert is a killer beauty and that people are to survive there. All the tools and equipment we have nowadays allow us to enjoy an expedition to such arid lands easily but, alas, you have to have a respect or you'll never get out.
