Members of the Dumagat Tribe, an indigenous group in Philippines, travelled barefoot over 3 mountains for 3 hours to seek free medical consult with an Internal Medicine Doctor from the city. I was one of the doctors who volunteered in the free medical mission organized at Doña Trinidad Remedios Bulacan, Philippines. We travelled 62 kilometers from City of Manila to the province of Bulacan to serve the community. The tribe members have not seen a doctor for months. Free medical consult and medications were given to the community. At the end of the consult, I asked my patient if I can take a picture of our feet to show that we are standing on the same ground - we are all equal. In return, a big smile and warm hug was given unto me by my patient.
