The stairs on the banks of the river Ganges at Varanasi never stop to amuse me. The stark contrast of the two men who were separated by two rungs of stairs amused me. The holy man and the “common man” were contrasting each other. Despite their nearness within the frame, I could almost visualise how different their worlds were.
