two women passing by the denuding mangrove landscape

These women are getting back to their village across the fast fading mangrove beaches at Sunderban island. The promoters of sustainable and eco tourism in the island have rarely concentrated on replenishing the island and its inhabitants. The wastes left by the tourists have added pollution to this estuarine delta. The mangroves are fast declining and instances of clash between man and the wild have become frequent.
