U bein bridge from below

U bein bridge is a famous teak wood bridge in Mandalay which is 1.2 km long and believed to be the longest and oldest bridge of its kind in the world. It was built in 1850 by salvaging unwanted teak columns from the old city palace. The bridge is still a central part of the community with many locals and monks crossing it to go to work.
