While Milford Sound is one of the wettest places on earth, it had been experiencing a drought. While we were there, the heavens opened up, and there was a tremendous downpour like none of us had ever seen before. We were surrounded by massive waterfalls. To go along with the rain, the wind was a sustained gale force. This water from this waterfall was dancing down the fjord with the wind. Amazing!
