This photo is part of a series I shot in Naples in 2025, portraying the artisans of the city. Umberto is an 85-year-old man, still working as the last woodcarver of the city. We met in his small and packed workshop in the heart of Naples, taking multiple photos and hearing his whole life story for over 2 hours. The photos, with a written piece, were published in Italy Magazine some months later.
