Under "candeeiros" light: sacred moviments

The photo was taken during a public candomblé ceremony. There had been a lack of electric light and it was necessary to light them with lamps for the ceremony to take place, just as our black ancestors in diaspora enslaved in Brazil did. It was a unique moment to revive our ancestral memory and praise our divinities. in the picture we have in the foreground, three women participating in the ceremony
