13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Under The Cloud
The dust cloud gave the landscape an orange hue and turned the sun a dim shade of red. Parts of the sky were even purple. The combination of desert, Joshua trees, and lighting made it feel as if I was on an alien planet.
