Under the lights.

Most of the time when you think of photos of rodeo's you see images of action shots of riders hanging on for dear life, I wanted something different. I wanted to capture the essence of a professional cowboy, the mental part of the action. The part of the professional cowboy that knows he has traveled a long way to this place, and has just one ride, a ride that lasts 8 seconds and it's over. Then on to the next rodeo, maybe hundreds of miles away, to get ready for the next 8 second ride. Everything has to be right, his gear, his mind, and total concentration. No teammates just him.
