20th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Under the waterfall
The shot was taken in a larch forest at an altitude of about 1900 metres. Resting along the path, I sat beside a waterfall. I could see the water droplets, misted, being carried by the air displacement created by the waterfall and illuminated by the sun rays filtering through the trees
