Where stretching sea meets stretching sky, tucked beneath a surface scoured by shorebirds and beachcombers, amphipods are often just a tasty morsel for a passing beak. Dwelling mostly beneath notice, they are striking up close - intricate design, crystalline structure, a fascinating tiny life.
